The image on the left shows a fresh, inviting space that blends the design styles of contemporary and classic. The airy white and cream colors utilized here give the space a cool, clean feel while also incorporating more traditional details. These can be seen in the ornately framed oil paintings, along with the style of the bathtub. The picture frames or the art itself, as well as the planters and foliage, can be switched out seasonally to freshen up the space when it feels like it may be getting a bit “tired”.

If a simple change is all you are craving, think outside the box! Simply altering the color of something significant can create a huge impact. Keep in mind that the color selected is imperative in how the overall look will be perceived. Select a hue that complements it’s surroundings. The French blue door shown here balances the provincial gold exterior of the home, while also tying into the colorations found in the landscape. Although this splash of blue is bold and daring, it is still a welcoming entrance to the home.
