About Christine

What do you imagine your dream home to be? An urban loft with a modern edge? A traditional townhouse graced with art and antiques? A provincial-styled
home with an unexpected contemporary flair?

Perhaps you cannot quite picture your ideal surroundings. Either way, Christine’s extensive experience and intuitive design eye will help create living spaces that will envelop you, recharge you, and welcome you home…

Christine brings a lifelong passion for design and more than two decades of professional experience to each and every interior design project. Her collaboration with established vendors and artisans achieves environments that meet the needs and reflect the interests, passions and spirit of every client. With strict care, she embraces each client’s individualism by designing beautiful, functional and organic spaces that make them feel right at home.

Her underlying and main focus has always been to bring the arts to others as a form of therapy. She has studied geomancy, feng shui, metaphysical interpretation and believes that carefully selected and placed objects and artifacts in one’s space foster healing.

Christine appreciates the diversity of her clients’ aspirations because her own background is so varied. Growing up in the northeast afforded her the rich artistic and cultural offerings of New York City, Philadelphia, Princeton and the restorative qualities of the surrounding beach communities. As a child, she developed an interest in the visual and performing arts, learned French from her grandmother and was privileged to travel extensively both domestically and internationally. Her entrepreneurial roots originated in grade school when she made and sold personalized dolls on a sewing machine which she requested for Christmas.

Even though she loved the urban sophistication of city life, she was drawn to West Virginia University and its rural setting. There she served as president of the student chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) where she earned a degree in Interior Design and played a pivotal role in helping the school earn FIDER accreditation (Foundation for Interior Design Education Research).

She gained firsthand knowledge of the work involved in renovating a home when she purchased her first house at the age of 21. She refurbished it, completing much of the work herself. She has since lived in Chicago, Atlanta and Pittsburgh before settling in Shaker Heights, a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio. Shaker Heights is a place that combines the natural and cultural amenities to which she is drawn.

Christine is professionally certified by the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) and is a professional member of ASID, IIDA and The Institute of Classical Architecture & Art (ICAA). Her work has been featured in Cleveland Home Décor, Northern Ohio Live, Pittsburgh Tribune, Home Design & Remodeling Resource Guide, AssociaLiving, the Akron Beacon Journal and Cleveland Magazine as well as various other publications. She has also appeared on That’s Life With Robin Swoboda on Fox television, WKYC’s Good Company and The Jack Dever Home Show Radio Show. Her work in Bath, Ohio was featured on the BVS Home Tour in 2009, as well as the Akron Junior League Kitchen Tour in 2011. Christine’s vast and varied designs have been featured in multiple showhouses around the country.
